The Small Engine Mechanic/Technician will be responsible for the complete process of equipment and tool repair.

This is a FULL-TIME direct hire position with benefits.

SPECIFIC TASKS INCLUDE:

• Repair and maintain gas and diesel equipment.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment.
• Repair and maintain fleet and ensure all equipment is “rental ready”, (i.e. thoroughly checked upon return from previous customer rental and prior to the next scheduled rental.)
• Prepare and present parts orders to Facility/Production Manager
• Maintain a clean and orderly shop/workspace
• Keep accurate and up to date inventory; tools, parts, shop supplies
• Advise and update Facilities/Production Manager on needed repairs and parts purchases

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent, one (1) year relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
• Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk on un-level surfaces.
  • Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization.
  • Ability to pass urine screens for drug use.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written directions or road maps.
